Job Description

As a BI Developer you’ll be part of an experienced development team that builds and maintains high performance BI solution for credit management and performance running on our own hosting platform and on AWS. You’ll interact with the business, designers and other tech team members on a daily basis.

Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Contribute to back and front-end of the BI platform, allowing her to be the European market leader.
  • Implement new features, prototype and design new ideas, connect with external systems, and optimize existing code to improve quality and stability.
  • Participate in code reviews, define architecture with your peers, and implement tests and continuous integration pipelines to rapidly deliver new features.
  • Improve the current platforms we have in place as well as work with new systems and technologies.
  • Solve complex problems and architectural challenges such as performance issues and asynchronous programming.
  • Proactively keep an eye on developments in relevant BI technologies.
  • Play an active role in the process of modernizing our technology stack to allow the platform to scale exponentially while keeping the systems running stable and smooth.
  • Maintain, extend, scale and troubleshoot database.

Qualifications:

  • University/bachelor (business) computer science work and thinking level
  • Knowledge/experience of database structures and design methods:
    • – Third normal form
    • – Dimensional modelling (Kimball)
  • Knowledge of SQL Server BI Suite:
    • – SQL Server Database
    • – SQL Server Integration Services
    • – SQL Server Reporting Services
    • – SQL Server Analysis Services (Good to have, not a must)
  • Structured programming techniques and object-oriented programming:
    • – T-SQL, SQL Server Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions and views
    • – C# (C Sharp as scripting task in SSIS)
    • – NET
    • – Knowledge of SQL Server database management and administration
    • – Performance tuning
    • – Database backups/restoration
  • Fluent dutch and good working knowledge in English

Nice to have:

  • Experience as a BI/database developer in an MS SQL Server environment
  • Experience with database modeling in a BI framework
  • Experience with system and database management, administration
  • Experience developing SSIS packages, scripting C#
  • Experience with developing SSRS reports
  • Good to have experience with web programming specifically with ASP.NET
  • Good to have experience with analysis and creation of XML and XSD structures and schema’s
  • Experience with AWS, Git, Jira
