Klasmann-Deilmann: Our core competency is growth
“Our goal is healthy plant growth. With our growing media, we help safeguard both the optimum development of crops in commercial horticulture and the success of our customers. In the consumer segment, our potting soils make for beautiful blooms and gorgeous gardens. And in our short-rotation coppice plantations, too, we ensure the growth of tree species used as sustainable energy sources.”
Product implementation of COLLENDA CreditManager
The decision to implement a new credit management system was crucial for the Accounting Services Department of Klasmann-Deilmann to control the receivables of nearly twenty sales companies. Among the main requirements for the tool were online connection to the global credit insurance provider Coface, combined with access to the global credit reporting agency Creditsafe. Moreover, the new system would need to work globally.
Klasmann-Deilmann has opted for the credit- and reporting-management system ‘COLLENDA CreditManager’. This system is geared to the comprehensive presentation of all receivables, including any additional information. Further requirements, such as connection to a credit agency and a credit insurer, can be added; users can independently create reporting items and use reporting functions. Other key factors in this decision were integrated workflow for credit limit approval, and automatic transfer of these limits into the program and to SAP Business One.
The project began with a kick-off meeting in December 2016 and exactly one year later the European sales division went live. In the meantime a new module for credit insurance has been developed and a new connection to the service provider Coface has been programmed. The next step was the connection to Creditsafe in April 2018. In the further course of the year the Italian sales office started production, followed by the French and African, the Austrian and another German sales company.
At the end of 2018 the productive start-up for the Asian and especially the Chinese market took place, special aspects this time were the consolidation of foreign currencies, the processing of euro-based insurances and the reduction of the limit level to the foreign currency of the user. In the first half of 2019, five further European companies will go live, which will be completed in May.
For reporting purposes, Klasmann-Deilmann decided to use the COLLENDA ReportManager to fulfil its company-specific reporting standards.
In 2021, new features such as country scoring, an administrable home screen and integrated reporting have been integrated (read article Update 2021).
With this project’s success, COLLENDA has demonstrated once again that its CreditManager is a proven tool in international markets as well.
Why Klasmann-Deilmann opted for COLLENDA:
… because it’s an easy-to-use, all-in-one credit management system with a reporting tool – one that can be tailored to our company’s requirements at any time.
