The crisis conditions clearly show how essential digital credit processing has become for the functioning of the financial system. However, the credit application process of many institutions is still highly fragmented and requires manual work steps as well as the handling of physical documents, which is hardly possible under the current conditions and results in dangerously long waiting times for the customer. Reliable IT infrastructures are indispensable for decentralised cooperation in business operations and for the technical connection to KfW, especially now.
